Many of us may have come across the problem of automatically
dimming/flickering of our laptops display brightness at the following
conditions:
1.
The laptop is unplugged from the charger.
2.
The screen brightness is turned down (any amount
less than max)
3.
The display changes quickly from light colours
like this page to dark/black colours and vise-versa.
This problem mostly arise due to following features enabled.
Disabling these features stops the dimming/brightening of the display:
1.
Auto brightness enabled on windows.
2.
Intel Display Power Saving Technology enabled.
Try the first method are if it doesn’t work, then go for the
next.
Disabling of Auto Brightness on Windows.
1.
Click on the battery icon on your taskbar and
choose ‘ More power options ’.
2.
Click the ‘ Change plan settings ’ for your
active power plan and choose ‘ Change advanced power settings ’.
3.
Navigate to display -> enable adaptive
brightness and choose OFF as shown below by clicking the ON option already
present.
This disables the adaptive
brightness on windows. Sometimes this does not solve our problem. Then go the
next.
